Botex heavy duty loaders and trailers have been manufactured in the UK since the early eighties. Primarily designed for use in forestry they are now also sold into many other industries and fitted to machines such as Lime spreaders and waste handling machines.

Botex's unique ability to comfortably lift heavy weights (500 TL series lifts over 2500 kgs at 2 mtrs and 1.320 at 4 mtrs) makes it the only tractor or trailer mounted crane to suit all types of wood handling. A Botex crane is just as comfortable working with chip and pulpwood as any smaller loader. Recent increased demand in the Tree Surgery, Ground Care, Amenity and Local Council market for a machine to go out and recover large blown and felled hardwoods has seen a number of very specialised combinations sold for use behind higher road speed vehicles such as JCB Fastrac Unimog or 40k agricultural tractors such as Valtra Valmet. These trailers can be fitted with air brakes and special road tyres.

The top selling loader is the 560 TL which is available with either a long or short Kingpost. This can be fitted on a trailer or a tractor. It can also be mounted over the rear axle of JCB Fastrac, MB trac or Unimog.

Botex also offer a medium range 300 model which can lift weights of just over 1,000 kgs. THis model is also available as a 3 point linkage crane.Trailers are available from 6-14 tonne. All have brakes, flotation tyres, 4 bolsters and 8 pins, headboard and swivel hitch as standard fitting. Optional extras include road lights, extendable main beam, steerable drawbar, pump and tank kit. Hydraulic stabiliser legs are also fitted as standard with trailer crane combinations. Specialist trailers built upon request.

Botex also manufacture 2 sizes of grapple which are also sold for fitment to other cranes.

   a) 0.26 heavy duty for 500 series crane.

b) 0.20 for 300 models.

Hydro tongs/Grapple skidders are also available. These are designed to be used in conjunction with a standard agricultural tractor on the 3 point linkage. Operators can drive into the forest and extract lengths of timber without the need to leave the tractor cabin.
