WE ARE NOW FITTING LASCO CONE SPLITTERS TO BOTEX CRANES.The photo here shows model M1-4,0S working on some oversized Oak.The uni works well and although originally designed for fitment to an excavator or handler it is remarkably effective when used by an experienced crane operator.
This Lasco fits directly to a botex 500 series crane without any modification.Costs only around 6k + vat.

DRY SOFTWOOD COMPARES FAVOURABLY AGAINST HARDWOOD!
The table below compares the heat potential output between the various species of 1 tonne of loose dry logs.As you can see the top 7 are all softwood.Yes there is a little more volume in a tonne of softwood but it has the following advantages----It's cheaper to buy--it grows quicker---it drys quicker---its easier to process--it generally produces less waste--it's easier to find.
It's up to you as a supplier to convert your customers!Why not offer a mixture in one load just to get them going.
We'd be happy to hear your thoughts on this subject. |

PACKFIXED!
We recently carried out an experiment
on freshly cut processed wood stored in the open and uncovered.1.6 cubic meters on a pallet and wrapped using the Posch packfix system were produced in Mid January which was wet and damp.we've had 3 dry weeks recently and 1 week of snow cover.
The wood is now dry enough to sell.

Since Posch launched the Autosplit in May 2009 customers have taken well to its strong design and unique V knife splitting system.This allows even quite knotty wood to be kindled which is not possible with the other machines which use a cross knife system.Wood for them needs to be pre selected and many knots cut out.They also need to be stopped and "dug out"when they mash up knotty wood wheras the Posch continues to flow!
(Obviously the better timber produces a higher quality end product!)
Prices are remarkable when you consider what a highly professional machine it is weighing a meaty 650 kgs.Then of course Posch don't build machines unless they are on top of the job!

Although we have always dismantled used machines for spare parts, in fact over 100 County tractors throughout the years, recent demand has grown to such an extent the decision was made to try and re-install this part of the business as a reliable source of parts for most modern harvesters, forwarders and Valmet tractors. The cost of new parts for these machines seems to have spiralled in recent years and during the current credit crunch hopefully we can supply a much more affordable option. We will do our best to keep the website updated on machines in for dismantling, but even if you don't see what you need please still lift the phone as we intend to work hard to find parts elsewhere on your behalf while we build up our own stock.
