Hornsea Inshore Rescue - Launch Vehicle

At the end of last week we delivered a very special vehicle to Hornsea Inshore Rescue.

Hornsea Lifeboat station took delievry of their bespoke lifeboat launch vehicle.
This machine was produced after a long list of modifications to a Valtra T170 tractor.
The conversion project was overseen by Paul Whalen, with specialist work carried out by himself, Michael Gibson, John Robertson & Ewan Gourlay.

The conversion initially started by removing all unnecessary equipment & rust-protecting areas with Linex load liner.

The standard wiring was stripped and changed to create a bespoke overhead dash with all the relevant new controls, including spot lights, siren, emergency lights & VHF radio to name a few.

The changes continued outside the cab to include a new stainless steel fuel tank at the rear, galvanised wheels, steps and other removable brackets. The body panels were then painted in a high visibility, rust protection paint.

Valves, breathers, water tight housings & water traps were used throughout the build to create this marinised tractor.

Paul met the crew onsite in Hornsea as the Valtra arrived and talked them through it and seen their first launch with the new unit.

This machine will get used to carry out a highly important job & we are very grateful to build yet another lifeboat launch vehicle. Thanks again Hornsea Inshore Rescue, please feel free to check their facebook page HERE to follow their great work!
