A simple, affordable and fast firewood packing solution for your firewood business.

Introducing the MIDI, designed to be the perfect size for small to medium sized firewood producers looking to take the strain out of bagging, and start enjoying it again… Producing bagged firewood can be profitable and enjoyable once the hard physical effort and strain is removed. This machine allows producers to build up a large stock of profitable bagged logs without difficulty thanks to its innovative design, and adjustable log delivery system. This ease of use, allows operators to comfortably work longer or more frequently, which in turn helps owners, their teams or family members easily create stock to meet growing demands from domestic and commercial contracts.

It’s the ideal machine to work on between your main business duties, or at the end of the day, or when weather delays plans for outdoor activities.

The machine is 230v single-phase electric (16 AMP) with a fully enclosed system allowing it to be used in outdoor or indoor environments. This low power requirement allows the machine to be used in a wide variety of settings, and the electric system creates very low noise output.

The machine is designed for 1 or 2 person operation, with two bagging stations fitted to allow for dual filling of netted bags. The log delivery system has a speed-adjustment dial to allow operators to easily set the speed of log delivery. This allows the operator to slow down delivery if only 1 operator is present. This gives owners complete flexibility to react to staff workflow to maximise output.

The bagging station is easily height adjustable to allow it to be raised or lowered depending on operator height, this delivers further ease of use, and comfort. At the bagging area, the net holders can also be adjusted to suit a variety of net options. The machine can work with various log sizes up to 10″ long. This max length covers the domestic and retail log market to allow production for domestic and wholesale markets. The bag holders can also be removed to create an option to load larger builders bags, for bulk loads. There is an image in the gallery showing one owner using this option to fill bags held on his tele-handler forks.

The machine consists of a log hopper holding 1.6m3 of logs (Optional Extra: Extension unit to increase capacity to 3m3. This hopper can be filled by various means, however the main methods are tractor/tele-handler front buckets or box-rotators or filled directly from the outfeed conveyor of a firewood processor, saw or similar machine. If a larger hopper would be of interest, please see the MAXI model, which has a hopper designed to hold 3.2m3 as standard.

Inside this hopper is a powered conveyor designed to convey the logs at the desired speed out of this holding area and down a chute towards the bagging area. Pre-cleaned logs are preferred, however the outfeed chute has an inbuilt log cleaning screen for a final clean of any loose bark which has appeared from tipping them into the hopper. Once logs reach the bagging area, operators have the final say on which logs enter the bags, so a final human check on log quality and screening can be done when selecting logs, so the quality and consistency of netted bags remains at 100% despite the prior automation in the process. This creates additional speed and comfort with no drop in end quality, over individual manual hand bagging techniques.

This machine has inbuilt forklift slots for repositioning using a suitable forklift or tele-handler. The machine weighs 800KG and has the following dimensions: 4.2m Length/ 2.5m Width/ 2.6m Height.

The machine designed and manufactured in the UK. The finished unit is fully galvanised, to protect the base steel, and create a high-quality, weather resistant finish.
